Twenty years in the workforce. Nearly ten in HR leadership. And one thing I have always believed: you can absolutely keep a company compliant and moving forward while making sure every employee feels supported and secure in their role. Those two things are not in conflict. That is just good HR.

I am Trenelle Doyle, Principal of Nelly Knows Consulting and a fractional HR partner for funded startups, growing companies, and established organizations. I step in when you need real HR leadership without the overhead of a full-time executive. No fluff, no guessing, no long-term commitment required until you are ready.

My background is real and it is range. I have served as HR Director at the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries navigating collective bargaining and state employment law. I ran HR for JOIN, a nonprofit serving families transitioning out of homelessness. I managed onboarding for over 2,000 employees annually at the University of Portland. And I built my own ride share company from the ground up for seven years. I know what HR looks like in government, nonprofit, higher ed, and startup environments.

I am a straight shooter who works from a people-first perspective. I meet people where they are. I connect with anyone and earn their respect because I give it first.

I have been recognized as a 2022 COMTO Women Who Move the Nation award recipient and an American Express 100 for 100 Women Founders of Change.
